I have not blogged in so very long.  I always think about how I need to blog and then somehow, never do.

Lots has happened since the last blog.

We went on vacation to Tokyo.  Awesome time.  Went to Tokyo Disney.  Also awesome.  Met my mom, dad and brother there-yep, awesome.

Brendan started kindergarten-he's growing so fast!

Oh and the big one...we moved!  We are now in Hawaii, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (aka, Hickam AFB).

So, I will try and get some pictures posted from the last year and then resume blogging...and hopefully keep up with it!

Snakes are important

Brendan (and Kieran) loves to watch the planes as we drive by the flightline every morning-it generates great excitement and sometimes, interesting conversation.

From Tuesday:

Brendan: I hate the trees.  They should cut them down.  I can't see the plane.
Mommy: Trees are important though.  They clean our air, they look nice.
Brendan: but not the trees here.  They are in the way.
Mommy: They make homes for the birds...
Brendan: Snakes too.  They live in trees.
Mommy: Sure, snakes too.
Brendan: Are snakes important?
Mommy: Yes.
Brendan: They're important because they eat mice.  Like Mickey Mouse.
Mommy:  um....

Guess who's back, back again...

It's been a long time since I've blogged and so much has happened.

Quick recap and some pictures.

Mama, Papa and Uncle Ian came to visit for Christmas.  We all had a great time, especially the boys! They sure love and miss Mama and Papa when they are gone-and Uncle Ian too.  We got to see some of the light displays around Okinawa and really enjoyed spending the holidays together.

Light display at the zoo.  Brendan looks like quite the punk.  The dark eyes are from his allergies.

It felt pretty lonely around here after they left, but we got back into our normal routine as quickly as possible-that always seems to help.  It was back to preschool, busy days and weekend activities with just our little family.

We took a trip up north to see the cherry blossoms, but there just wasn't much out.  We headed back and decided to stop and check out Tropical Fruits Land.  Although the weather was anything but tropical (we're still in the midst of this blast of cold) the boys still had a ton of fun, especially feeding the parrots!  We also got to take a look at some beautiful butterflies.

Two weeks later we decided to check out the cherry blossoms again-it's our last chance to see them!  This time, we had success.
(aka, it's muddy)

Most to post about and I'll get that up before this weekend!  We're headed off to Sapporo on Sunday for the Ice Festival and we can't wait!
